O Guardian de hoje inclui um conjunto de peças sobre a descoberta de que o Chefe da Polícia Metropolitana de Londres gravara secretamente conversas tidas por ele próprio com outras figuras do Estado. Cito:
The attorney general today accepted an apology from Britain's top police officer, Sir Ian Blair, for secretly recording one of their private telephone conversations.
Pressure has been mounting on Sir Ian since it emerged yesterday that he had secretly recorded at least six telephone conversations with a digital recorder at his office at New Scotland Yard.
Most controversially, he recorded a private conversation last September with the attorney general - the government's most senior legal adviser - in which they discussed counter-terrorism and wire tapping
